Sign up today for a weekly virtual Dining with Diabetes class. You will learn how to incorporate good, healthy cooking techniques and other practices to help control your blood sugar through our cooking school and nutrition education program. The classes are designed for people with prediabetes or diabetes, and their family members or caregivers. The weekly online classes, held on Wednesdays, are from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., on Feb. 18, 25, March 4, 11.

November is National Diabetes Awareness Month. Join Ohio State University Extension’s Diabetes team for complimentary diabetes webinars LIVE ONLINE on Nov. 1, 8, 15 and 22. According to the Ohio Department of Health, approximately 1,048,918 adults in Ohio, or 12.6% of the adult population, have diagnosed diabetes. The CDC has issued a food safety alert regarding a multistate outbreak of Salmonella Oranienburg infections. The CDC advises people who have unlabeled whole red, white, or yellow onions at home to throw them away and not eat them.
