Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Educators Lorrissa Dunfee, Belmont County, and Michelle Treber, Pickaway County, recently received a $4,000 grant from the Ohio Falls Coalition to promote the overall health and wellness of senior citizens in their counties. The program, Bingocize, encourages movement and focuses on fall prevention and health education messages. Grant funds, managed by Belmont County’s health department, will be used to train Ohio State University Extension professionals and community partners for delivery in any county. Additionally, the funding will cover the Bingocize program materials and provide environmental supports such as grab bars for participants who successfully complete the program.
