Associate Professor Dan Remley, Ohio State University Extension field specialist, received the Priester Culture of Health Award for his Voices for Food work. The award, presented at the 2019 National Health Outreach Conference in Fort Worth, TX, honors Extension programs that positively impact the health of people across the United States and provide leadership to expand Extension’s capacity to increase the number of Americans who are healthy at every stage of life.
Voices for Food is a project funded by USDA NIFA that addresses food insecurity and healthy food access in rural communities by utilizing community coaching to develop food councils and guided client choice food pantries.
The Priester Award recognizes sound and innovative health and wellness programs at the county, state and national level. For this honor, Dan received a plaque and certificate. Congratulations!
