Annual Chadwick Arboretum Plant Sale May 5-7
The Chadwick Arboretum & Learning Gardens is hosting its annual plant sale from May 5-7 in Columbus at the northwest corner of Lane Avenue and Fred Taylor Drive.
This is Chadwick Arboretum’s largest fund-raiser of the year, and they depend on a successful sale to ensure support for its operating expenses. This sale also provides funds for the Franklin County Master Gardeners, Crop and Soils Science Club, Plant Pathology Graduate Students Association, PAX Horticulture and Floriculture Honor Society, the Annual Cultivar Trials, and our Horticulture Therapy Program. Local vendors will also benefit from the sale, and they include Scioto Gardens, Dannaher Landscaping, Designs by Cherie, Sharpening on Site, Sunapple Studio, Out of the Moon, Nancy’s Treasures, Plant-a-Rock and J-Pops.
Inventory at the sale includes annuals, perennials, vegetables (organic and heirloom), trees, shrubs, garden art, worm compost, gardening tools and more. A complete plant list, including auction items, is available at chadwickarboretum.osu.edu
The auction, featuring unusual trees, shrubs and garden accents, will be held at 6 p.m. on May 5 and again at 9 a.m. on May 6 and 7. WOSU’s Ann Fisher will be live, and a food truck will be on site from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
