Family and Consumer Scienes Retreat

Purpose: This retreat aims to foster connections among Family and Consumer Sciences professionals while increasing capacity for program development, delivery, and outreach. Structured and unstructured time will be provided for personal growth and team building.
WHEN: Wednesday, March 20, beginning at 1 p.m., through Friday, March 22, at Noon.
COST: Not more than $225 per person (exact cost TBD) – correct worktags required for registration.

REGISTRATION: The deadline is end of business day Friday, March 1. Complete the Qualtrics survey using this [LINK]. Be sure to include applicable worktags.
LODGING: All room rates are $119 per night (pending availability), plus applicable fees
- Single/King or Double/Queen rooms (sales tax exempt)
- Payable by pcard or personal credit card
- Check-In is after 4 p.m, Check-Out is before 11 a.m.
Deadline for guaranteed-room reservations is Tuesday, February 27. After that date, the group rate will still apply but room availability may be limited.
- A deposit of the first night’s room charge is due at the time the reservation is made.
- This deposit remains fully refundable up to 72 hours (3 days) prior to arrival.
- Guest will need to present individual credit card upon arrival.
- Any No Shows or cancellations (less than 72 hours in advance) will be charged the first night's room rate, plus applicable fees.
INDIVIDUAL CALL-IN RESERVATION METHOD: Each guest shall call in the reservation line at 800-AT-A-PARK (800-282-7275) to reserve a room under the OSU Extension Family and Consumer Sciences block, or Block Code: GOS4.
WHAT TO WEAR: Cozy casual wear welcome. NEAFCS activity/dinner Thursday evening is business casual. Be sure to bring sweater/jacket in case room temperature fluctuates. We will have an outdoor activity on Wednesday evening, so bring appropriate outerwear.
WHAT TO BRING:
- A water bottle. Reusable coffee cup if you have one.
- Your CFAES nametag
- Items for taking notes
OPTIONAL: If you are NOT attending the retreat, but want to attend Thursday's 6 p.m. program/dinner, the cost is $40 per person. Any FCS employee who wishes to attend should contact Thallia Blight (blight.2@osu.edu) by March 1 to RSVP. The $40 fee will be charged to the appropriate OSU worktags, or payment can be made at the door (check made payable to OSU Extension).
