With 30 million diabetics in America, you are not alone! You will learn how to incorporate good, healthy cooking techniques and other practices to help control your blood sugar through our cooking school and nutrition education program designed for people with diabetes and their family members or caregivers.     Healthy Living Resources is a telecast presented by the Family and Consumer Sciences program specialists that will focus on health, wellness, and the impact that stress has on our lives. Whether it be financial struggle, or chronic disease management, stress can creep up as a result of many of the day to day events that we face in our lives. Join us monthly as we interview Family and Consumer Sciences educators and other specialists who will discuss how we can address and hopefully prevent this from negatively impacting our overall health and wellness.

    Tai Chi is an exercise program for health of the mind and body. Through fluid movements, controlled breathing and mental concentration participants integrate their mind and body in an ancient Chinese art. Tai Chi decreases arthritis pain, helps prevent falls, increases flexibility, and improves mental and physical balance. Exercises can be done in seated position or standing up.
