Become A Volunteer
Strengthening families, the community and the economy is the mission of Ohio State University Extension’s Family and Consumer Sciences program. Volunteers have the opportunity to ADVOCATE, PROMOTE and TEACH about successful Ohio State University Extension programs.
ADVOCATE – As an advocate, you will work with legislators and stakeholders to advocate for the support of Family and Consumer Sciences programs and to ensure that they are appropriately funded.
PROMOTE – As a promoter, you will be involved in public awareness campaigns, operate displays for health fairs and other educational events.
TEACH – As a teacher, you will help with established curriculum in the three Family and Consumer Science content areas: Healthy People, Healthy Finances, and Healthy Relationships.
The core programs include:
|Dining with Diabetes||Ohio's Farm to School|
|Food Safety Education||Successful Co-Parenting|
|Live Healthy Live Well||Universal Design|
Giving back, helping your community, improving the quality of life.
