New Start Classes

Signing up for a New Start class is easy. First, find a convenient location. You'll find details on when and where upcoming classes are offered.

Registration for New Start is required. To register, send a check made payable to Ohio State University Extension in the amount of the class fee to the class location's address. Please include on a separate sheet the information listed below:

  • Name(s) (as appearing on filing paperwork)
  • Daytime Phone
  • Evening Phone
  • Mailing Address
  • E-mail address (if you have one)
  • Class Attending (location, date and time)
  • Case Number
  • Court Where Filed
  • Payment amount enclosed (Don't send cash)

Registration fees vary with location, but New Start is offered without regard to your ability to pay. The fee will be reduced for those who are the second spouse when a couple files together or for a person or couple who bring documentation of participation in a public assistance program. Contact the County Extension Office offering the course you would like to take for details.
